FUNERALS OR LIFE ENDING CEREMONIES
A funeral service is an opportunity to celebrate the life of a loved one in a way that is appropriate for that person. Sometimes this will be in a formal setting and very traditional. Other ceremonies may be less formal with a lot of family participation but each is a joyous celebration of a life that is now ended.
I will work with families to create a ceremony that is meaningful and personal. Appreciating cultural differences and sensitivities is an important aspect of all ceremonies and I understand and value this.
Below is a very small sample of the information that you can provide me with to help create a ceremony that reflects your wishes and provide a history of the person for whom the ceremony is held.
Full name of the deceased or the name they preferred to be known by.
Date of birth and birth place. Siblings and their names.
When and where married or partnered and to whom.
Names of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Professional and Personal achievements.
Qualities and values which were part of the loved one.
